Almost 14 months old!
I can't believe that Elle is almost 14 months old!!! It's Amazing how fast it goes by! I wanted to document a few things that she is doing right now so I don't forget:
-she says ''sh" to Derby when he starts barking ( I don't know where she learned to do that :)
-she LOVES to pretend like she is stirring with a bowl and spoon. She goes to the cabinet where we keep the mixing bowls and will say "uh uh" until we give it to her.
-She is saying "all done, dada, ball, set go, duck, quack quack, thank you, juice, MORE, bye bye, hi, and uh oh" some words sound clearer that others. She likes to sing to music although is pretty much sounds like a hum.
-She pretends to read books to herself. She jabbers and turns the pages.
-She loves to dance to music and turn around and around and around....
-she is giving sweet kisses now. She gives REAL ones to all of us including Derby and she can blow kisses too.
-She tries to go outside any chance she gets.
-She loves to eat green things: green beans, peas, asparagus, pickles
-The other day Ms. Kim (her baby sitter) told us that she noticed that one of the girls were "stinky" while she was watching them and said "Shoo, Who's gone poo poo" and Elle instantly pointed to Maddie. She was correct it WAS Maddie.
-She picks up any bag she can find and carries it on her arm like a purse.
-She finds our telephones and dials numbers. She then pretends that she is talking to someone "jabber, jabber."
-She tries to put shoes on her feet.
-She takes dishes out of the dish washer when I'm not looking.
-And she is still climbing on EVERYTHING!

Celebrating Baby Barrett!
This past weekend we went to Paragould to attend two baby showers for my cousin Kersten. I was able to help host one shower and the second shower was a family shower so of course I also attended that one. Kersten and Nate are beyond excited to welcome their baby boy, Barrett, around March 8th. They have been praying for him for a LONG time! They are going to be awesome parents! Barrett is so lucky because he is already loved so much!

Super E!
Elle had a blast at her cousin Cooper's B-day party this past weekend! You would not know she was one of the youngest there! She was pretty much obsessed with the balls but she did get into the jumper that was made for the younger children. It was fun because Gigi, Papa, Lena, Mimi, Aunt Kara, Uncle Travis, Anna, and Eston came too! It was a big day!
All set for the big day!
Thanks Gigi for your help with the costume!

Even though I have my own child now you will always be my Cooper Ray! Happy Birthday Sweet Boy!

She's a climber!
Elle has been keeping us busy these days (that is an understatement :) She is one active little girl so there are no dull moments in our house!!! She is constantly blowing kisses, throwing the ball for Derby, climbing on everything, and trying to open our gate to climb the stairs. (which she can do.. all 11 steps) She is also saying two word phrases which makes her Speech Therapist Momma happy. She is saying "Set Go", "Thank you", and "All Done." Oh, and did I mention that she is climbing on EVERYTHING...
Of course she LOVES climbing in her new chair! Thanks Aunt K for the cute outfit!
And she has learned how to get into the chair in her room!
Another one of her favorite things is chewing on her toothbrush.
And on top of the music table that Aunt G gave us!
She has even figured out how to scoot her stool across the floor so that she can reach inside her armoire. Excuse the picture quality. It was taken with my phone!
I guess she wanted to listen to some music!
Sometimes I just have to let her run around in her crib!
Here she is with a toothbrush again!
She also cries to go outside ALL the time so when it is warm enough, I let her play.
Yep, she's running! We LOVE our active little girl and are so thankful that she IS developing all these skills! It may wear us out sometimes but that's OK. I see children on a daily bases who do not develop speech and motor skills easily. I am so THANKFUL for our healthy and precious little girl!!!
Thanks for checking in with us!
