Eston turns 5!

A few weekends ago we traveled to Mountain Home for Eston's 5th birthday.  I can't believe that little man is already 5!  I really can't believe that he'll be in Kindergarten next year!
Time sure does fly! Happy Birthday Eston.  We love you!

Anna went down the slide multiple times.

Elle thought only one time was enough for her :)

I'm 5 years old!

I think she looks so grown up in that one.

Mimi and her girls.

Did I mention that she's a daddy's girl?

That Sunday we went to Marshall and saw Elle's great grandfather.
The girls had fun running around his garden.

Thanks for checking in with us!

Mother's Day 2012

We had a great Mother's Day this year!  On Saturday, Kathy watched Elle so that Corey and I could go to dinner.  We went to James at the Mill and it was soo good.  Then we went to The Cellar which is a wine bar in Fayetteville.  It was a fun night!  On Sunday we all went to brunch at Copeland's and then went to Crystal Bridges.  Crystal Bridges is a great museum that has recently been built in Bentonville.  Alice Walton brought the amazing exhibit to Arkansas and it is definitely worth seeing!

It was a great day and I especially enjoyed spending it with this little girl:

There were a lot of awesome sculptures, paintings, etc but I couldn't take any pictures of that.  I did a picture of this one.  It's Pinocchio! Corey said they were coming to tell me to stop after I took this.  Ooops!

The outdoor areas were so cool.  We didn't even get to see half of the sculptures and flowers. But we got to see a lot of cool pictures!

There was a cool frame on display on the grounds.  We decided to make a photo opportunity out of it!

I don't love this picture of myself but I had to post it.  Elle is such a cheeser these days.  I'm so thankful and blessed to be this little girl's momma.  She has the sweetest personality and a joyous love for life.  Thanks for making Mother's Day so special for me Elle Belle :)

Random catch up

Since I am so behind on blogging I thought I'd document some cute snapshots that I've taken over the past month or so.  She's changing so much.  I don't want to miss a thing!

Attempting to fold clothes.  I did not put her up to this.

This either. Suzy Homemaker :)

"Bubbles, Bubbles, Bubbles"

?!?  I don't know what to say about this one ?!

She is obsessed with shoes.  She brought all of her shoes and lined them up in the kitchen.

Derby helped too.

The other night I went to dinner with some friends for a "Girl's Night." Corey took care of Elle that night and put her to bed.  About 30 minutes after I had gotten home (around 9ish) I hear Elle yell Da Da! from her crib.  I told Corey that I would go in and put her back to sleep mainly b/c I felt like it was "my turn." Then he said with a smile, she's calling for me. So he went into her room and took care of her.  Fifteen minutes later she yelled Da Da again so I went in to attempt putting her back to sleep.  The first thing she said to me was, "I Booped," one of her new phrases :) and yes it means what you think it means.  So I started to pick her up and change her diaper.  Corey then walks in and said she said the same thing to me... I changed her dry diaper a minute ago.   That stinker is a smart one.  Avoiding bedtime already and so it begins.  She's daddy's little girl and daddy sure is crazy about her too.  But... Mommy was the only one that could get her to sleep that night.  I picked her up and slowly danced around her room.  It was a sweet moment.  I know I will not be able to do that much longer.  She is growing up so fast and I cannot make time stand still.  She truly is the perfect daughter.  She is sweet, girly, and active all at the same time.  She is my precious.

Celebrating 85 Years!

My sweet Momo turned 85 earlier this month.  If anyone deserves a party it is this lady.  She never forgets a birthday or special day.  She is absolutely the most caring person I know.  So her children and grandchildren threw a party for her at her church.  A funny side note is that it was going to be a surprise but someone spilled the beans.  Once she found out about the party she kept adding people to the guest list.  Momo taught Sunday School for around 30 years so she has taught many men and women.  She wanted to invite them to her special day.  It was so fun!
