Elle's Nine Month Family Pix

We were fortunate to have Michelle from Michelle Lea Photography take our pictures a few weekends ago.  She is our neighbor and a wonderful person!  She went above and beyond to help us with our pictures.  She drove to the Fayetteville square to take pictures of us and she even let us borrow some of her own daughter's accessories and things. We could not be happier with the way they turned out!

Update!

So, a lot has happened since I last blogged.  Elle is now 9 months old!!!!  She is starting to stand up by herself (that is until she realizes what she is doing and then she plops onto her bottom).  She is imitating everything.  She makes a fake sneeze sound after someone sneezes.  She tries to repeat words and sounds that we make.  And she shakes her head no when we say no to her or Derby.  It is so stinking cute!  I tried to take a few pics of Elle with her 9 month sticker like I do every month and it keeps getting harder and harder because she is so active.  She was super hyper when I tried to take these!

That's about as good as it gets for this month.  We took some professional 9 month pics with Michelle Lea Photography that I will post soon!

I also got to go on a girls trip to celebrate my friend Jill's 30th birthday.  We went to Tulsa to see Katy Perry perform!  It was a lot of fun and she put on a great show!  She had 17 wardrobe changes if that tells you anything!  She's a great performer.  We also did a little shopping and ate at The Cheesecake Factory  (one of my faves!)  It was the first night that I spent the night away from Elle!  It was hard at times but I knew she was being taken care of by Mimi and Daddy.  And since Elle has officially been weaned from breastfeeding and will take formula it allows me do more things like this.  I have to say that I was a little sad when weaning her because it was such a bonding experience to nurse her but I think 

9 months is a good time for me to let go :)

New Ride!

Elle has a new ride these days :)  She was lucky enough to get the cutest Jeep walker from our neighbors, the Rice's.  Their little girl, Cate, recently grew out of it, and we are having so much fun with it! Thanks Cate!  She doesn't have a lot of room in the house to use it but when she is on the driveway, she cruises.  She has already wore out the toes on one pair of her shoes.  Here is some pics in the driveway.

Labor Day Fun Day!

On Labor Day we decided to take Elle to the Botanical Gardens in Fayetteville.  We've been wanting to go there pretty much since we moved here.  We use to enjoy going to the Arboretum in Dallas so much.  The Botanical Gardens is fairly new to the area and so they are constantly building on to it.  I'm sure it will be a place that we will visit time and time again.
