Elle and Friends

So I left my camera at my mother-in-laws house so It's hard to update my blog :(  however, I will be going to get the camera this weekend :) and will take lots of pictures at Anna's first birthday party!

This Summer we've been visiting a lot of friends!  We mainly go walking together or go to the mall together.  Here are some pictures of Elle and her friends.  These are I phone pics so

In other news, we went to the doctor today.  Elle is still in the 50th percentile for her height and head circumference.  She is in the 75th percentile for weight.  She is definitely a breastfed baby!  And.....

She no longer needs to be swaddled when she sleeps.  We're just using sleep sacks now.  

She is growing up so fast!

Happy First Father's Day Corey

This past weekend we celebrated Corey's first Father's Day with family.  Corey has been the best daddy that I could have ever imagined or dreamed.  He loves his baby girl and it's pretty easy to see that.  He will not let her cry for more than a second before running to her!  He can always make her smile too.  It's so cute.  He has also taken good care of me while I continue to nurse Elle. He encourages me, often cooks dinner, and helps with laundry all the time.  He is the greatest!  I thank God for him everyday.  I cannot imagine living on this earth without him! We are both so lucky to have you Daddy!

We went to Mountain Home, Paragould, Gosnell, and Burdette.  Whew, it was a lot of traveling but it was definitely worth it.  Elle had a great time seeing family members and meeting some for the first time!   She did very well considering how much time she had to spend in her car seat!  

She's going to be a traveler after all!

I can't believe Elle is 6 months old!!!  UNBELIEVABLE!  I can't believe how much she has changed!  Here she is a 1 month old:

She's Eating!

Elle just turned 6 months old (more pictures are on the way) so I gave her rice cereal for the first time this week.  She liked it a lot!  We made a mess but not as much as I thought we would.  Since then we've gotten messier.  

Yep, that's rice on the table!  She loved shaking the spoon!

She's growing like a weed!

Elle is getting so big that sometimes I just look at her in amazement.  She is scooting around the floor and sitting up so good.  Her new trick is that she is starting to squeal.  She has realized that she can make some pretty fun sounds so she keeps practicing them.  It's so funny.  She has also started SLEEPING IN HER CRIB!  I know, I know, she is almost 6 months old (don't judge people :) but I think it was harder on me to let her move to the other side of the house than it was for her.  I would always come up with an excuse like well her room IS the coldest room in the house so that kept her in our room for the Winter and then when it started to warm up she just happened to have a cough/cold so of course she needed to be in the same room as us so I could watch her closer.....Like I said before, don't grow up too fast Elle!

Last weekend Elle's cousins spent the weekend with us.  Elle and Anna really had a good time together. I hope they end up being good friends!  Cousins are so special and I am super close to my cousins, especially my cousin Kersten.  She is like the sister to me.  

I hope Elle and Anna are that close someday!

This past week, Elle also went to her first concert at the park.  Every other Thursday Gulley Park in Fayetteville has live music and vendors.  It's a lot of fun!  The weather was perfect.
