Gigi's Birthday and Easter

I have so much to blog about.  I've gotten a little bit behind.  Last weekend we celebrated my mother (Gigi)'s birthday.  The original plan was for my mother, my sister-in-law,  and I to go to New York City for a girls trip to celebrate both of our birthdays.  I turned 30 and she turned 60 in the same year! Well, after the arrival of baby girl I decided I couldn't leave her!  So... we went to Branson.  We stayed at the Hilton Promenade at the Landing.  We shopped, we ate, and I think everyone had a good time!  Elle was able to go too!  Here are some pics from the weekend:

Elle, Gigi, and Cooper.  It's difficult to get a good picture with 2 kiddos. Notice the t-shirts!  Elle's says "Happy Birthday Gigi" and Cooper's says "Ask me how old my Gigi is!"

My sister-in-law and I had a photographer take pictures of Elle and Cooper together and we printed and framed a number of them for Gigi.  She loved them!

Here's Gigi with her Birthday cake.  We brought Rick's all the way to Branson.  Who can resists that yumminess!

Everyone sang to Gigi!

Our attempt at a family pic....

We even went swimming.  This is Elle in her cover up and swim suit that daddy bought her on one of his business trips.  Wasn't that sweet!

Elle enjoyed her first swim!

Sunday was Elle's first Easter.  What an important day to reflect on Jesus' sacrifice.  As a mother, I am so thankful for his selflessness so that we can have eternal life.  Not only for myself, but for my family. We love you Jesus!

Elle is truly loved.  She received so many Easter gifts!!! Thank you Gigi, Mimi, Aunt K, Aunt G, Di, and Lena for the gifts! We are so thankful!

We hope everyone had a great Easter!

Elle's first trip to the Delta Shelta!

We had a big day planned for this past Saturday.  We took Elle to the Tri-delt house for an Alumni Easter Egg Hunt.  It was good to be back at the house.  I have so many fond memories there.  I hope Elle has a similar experience some day.  It may not be at the Tri-delt house ( although I hope it is :) but as long as she has a great college experience I will be happy.  Here are some pictures of Elle in her Easter dress:

We had also planned to go the Razorfest that afternoon but decided it was too cold and windy for Elle. She still wore her cheerleader onesie around the house.

She's really enjoying her exersaucer.  Thanks Julie & Sam!  It's a hit!

Thanks for checking in with us!

Busy Girl

We were able to go to Mountain Home this past weekend to see Corey's family. We have a niece and a nephew there and it was really fun having Elle play with them.  Well, she mainly just watched them but it was still fun.

Anna and Elle playing together. Anna is about 6 months older than Elle.

Pretty girls

Eston giving Elle a kiss..awww

Elle's growing so fast!  She is making "Razzberries" with her lips CONSTANTLY!  She does it when she's happy and she does it when she's mad.  She even does it when she is drinking out of a bottle.  It seems to be her form of communication lately because she'll wait until someone says something and then she'll razzberry.  It's hilarious!  She has also officially rolled over!  She FELL over a few weeks ago and it kinda looked like she rolled over but yesterday I left her on her stomach like this

and when I came back I found her in this position so I ran and got the video camera:

Here's another happy clip

We think....she has also broken herself from the passy (with the help of Ms. Kim) she just prefers her fingers.  We might have a thumb sucker on our hands!!  She seems to be developing so fast!!  It's bitter sweet.  I can't wait until she's able to walk and talk but I also want her to continue being our BABY.  I know that will always be the case though!

The Big 3 - ohh

Last week I turned 30 years old.  Pretty much since Corey and I have been married we have been going on vacations for my birthday.  It hasn't hurt that my birthday usually falls on or close to Spring Break.  Well, this year we did not go to Vegas, Puerto Rico, Napa Valley or
San Antonio.

Our lives have changed a lot this past year.  I have to admit that it was difficult to stay put this year on my birthday but I know that we have received the most precious gift of all... this sweet baby girl!

How could I leave that sweet face?!?

Corey organized a small birthday dinner with friends at Bonefish Grill ( my favorite)!  I really appreciate everyone coming and celebrating with me.  I know it can be hard to make it to dinner especially when you have children.  Speaking of, thank you Bret and Angie for keeping Elle while we celebrated!

So Morgan and Chris were there too but Morgan was playing photographer and I didn't get a picture of these two.  So I just stole this pic off of their blog :)  Great picture guys :)

Thanks again for celebrating with me! You have each made this turning 30 thing a little bit easier!

Thanks for my pretty flowers Kathy and Gary!
