Halloween and Vanderbilt Game

This past weekend our friends, Brandi and Gerrit, came to visit us.  They were our neighbors in Dallas for over 2 years.  They are good friends of ours and it was so good to see them.  We are trying to get out and do as many things as possible before baby Elle gets here.  Our weekend consisted of a Halloween party, lunch at Stonemill Bread, tailgating and Razorback game, dinner at Bordino's, Willy D's piano bar, and breakfast at Mimi's.  Needless to say, this mama to be is exhausted but we had a great time!!!

Gerrit and Brandi getting ready to go to the Creekwood neighborhood costume party.

This was a last minute costume idea for Corey and I.  We were name tags.  Get it?

Brandi and Gerrit were good sports attending their first Razorback game although they are from Louisiana and are LSU fans!

Tri-delt Tailgate

Every year the Tri-delts from my pledge class get together for one football game and tailgate.  This year it was determined that the Ole Miss game would be the game of choice.  It's always a good time because everyone brings their family and it's fun to see the kiddos grow up and play together.  This year the turn out was a little low because of the bad weather but we still had a great time!

Stephanie Mazzanti, Leah Murphy, myself, and Jill Wheeler are all expecting bundles of joy! Next years tailgate will have a few more little ones!

Baby Shower

On October 16th my sister-in law Angie Ellington and my friends Brandi Garrison, Bethany Runyan, Holly Graves, Kersten Herget, and Kimber Still threw me a baby shower.  My friends Allyson Waters and Megan Baureis also helped from afar.  It was at the Dickson Street Inn in Fayetteville.  It meant a lot to me to have friends and family gather together to celebrate Elle.  They get bonus points for coming when the Razorback game was scheduled during the middle of the shower!

Thanks for all the fun games Kimber!

Seeing Elle

On Saturday we went to What's Kicking in Bentonville to get a 4-D ultrasound of baby Elle.  It was really neat because they had it set up like a media room with big couches and a big projector screen to watch the baby.  It was determined by everyone present that Elle looks like Corey.  She also has a lot of dark hair!  See what you think!

Can you see the hair?

There's a little smile

Maybe she's going to be a gymnast?

Maternity pictures

A few weeks ago Corey and I took maternity pictures at Hudson's Photography.  I was around 30 weeks at that point.  I think they turned out pretty good.  Of course there are a few pictures of my belly that are beyond my comfort zone for sharing so those are not included.  These are the pictures the photographer picked to show us for our preview.

Walk to Defeat ALS & Pumpkin Patch

This past Saturday we participated in the Walk to Defeat ALS at the Arvest Ballpark in Springdale.  Corey's father was diagnosed with ALS approximately 21/2 years ago so it is an organization that is dear to our hearts.  ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease)  is a motor neuron disease that is incurable and in-treatable.  We hope that there is a cure discovered very soon so and that others will not have to go through what Gary has.  This particular walk raised $300,000.00 to support research of the disease.  We can't wait to participate next year!

Thank you for walking with us!!!

Afterwards, we went to a local pumpkin patch where they had a corn maze, hay rides, petting zoo and a big mountain of wood chips that Cooper just could not get enough of.  It was a beautiful and day to spend outside with great company.

Fall is here!
