Alabama Game

We tailgated in the "Gardens" for the Alabama game with our friends Holly and Ryan.  It's a really nice and open spot with lots of trees and grass.  It was such a pretty day and Holly and Ryan set up a great tailgate with ribs and all the fixings.  Kathy, Kara, and Eston also came by to see us.  Their parking pass is in lot 56,  right by the tailgate.  My only complaint is my cell phone would not work in the garden area... Sorry Kimber and Shelly!  I tried to contact you :(

It was a great time although the Razorbacks couldn't bring home a win.  They played a good first half of football though!  We still love our hogs!

Woo Pig Sooie!

My mom and step father decided last minute to come and see us this past weekend.  It was a nice surprise.  I enjoyed the mom and daughter time together.  I know we will both be tied up when baby Elle gets here.  During their visit, we went shopping for the baby and watched the Razorback game with my brother and his family.  We had some good food and good company.  Fun times!

Blue Man Group

This past weekend we went to see the Blue Man Group with our friends Holly and Ryan.  The Blue Man Group show is a theatrical concerts that combines music and comedy.  The actors do not speak but act out everything nonverbally.  We had a great time!  We went to my favorite restaurant in NWA, Bordino's, before the show.  It was great!  Here are some pictures from the evening. The quality of the pictures aren't that great b/c we took them with our phones!

We decided on baby furniture!

After a lot of shopping around and internet searching, we have finally decided on our baby furniture.  The crib is wrought iron and is pewter/silver in color.  I think this makes it look antique and I hope it's something that will be passed down in our family.  Who knows, maybe Elle will use it with one of her children someday.

The main problem I had when shopping for furniture is that I couldn't find a dresser and armorie that was the color cream.  I found some but they were a little too "fru fru" for me.  So, I finally gave up and just ordered furniture that I liked in white.  We plan to put a glaze on it making it look cream. This is a picture of some of the collection.  It doesn't show the armoire but you can kind of get the idea.  We hope it gets here soon!

She has a name!

We've decided on a name for our baby girl!  We are going to name her......

Ellington "Elle" Alyse Balentine

Long I know :) Ellington was my maiden name and the name Alyse is our attempt to name her after Corey's grandmother Elsie.  We hope to call her Elle though. We can't wait to meet her and see her personality.    Will she be silly, smart, creative, shy, athletic, loving, or energetic?  Only time will tell.
